  • Overview

    Stream is seeking an experienced Sr. Network Engineer who will be responsible for, the administration, configuration, support, security and optimization of its Cisco/Juniper network and associated systems. The Network Administrator will collaborate with Application Development, Quality Assurance and Infrastructure teams to maintain security best practices, high uptime, and stability of its networking systems in all production and non-production environments.


    • Ensure optimal network security through the implementation of configuration best practices to reduce the potential threats for cyber security attacks.
    • Configure and maintain the enterprise network, security systems, load balancers, and other infrastructure systems in the physical, virtual, and cloud platforms using routine commands, administration techniques, tools, and utilities.
    • Design networks for existing and new sites, network upgrades, network expansions, cloud environments and disaster recovery
    • Implement and support multiple types of site to site and remote access VPN connections
    • Implement and maintain logical design models, wireless technologies, telecommunication technologies, network control protocols, network management protocols and security protocols
    • Responsible for configuring IP communication and routing
    • Develop and implement a schedule to install periodic software patches and new product releases
    • Verify network system configuration backups are completed on a defined schedule
    • Manage a network monitoring solution and remediate alerts both on and off work hours through an on-call rotation.
    • Manage the network asset through the lifecycle process
    • Recommend new network hardware and software, to replace end-of life and obsolete systems that will provide new features and functionality
    • Maintain support documents, standard operating procedures and policies related to the network and security systems


    • Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or comparable work experience.
    • Minimum of 8 years of hands on experience as a Network Administrator with either or combination of the following:
      • Cisco Networking (Switches/Routers/ASA/Nexus/WLC)             
      • Juniper Networking (EX, QFX, SRX)
    • Industry recognized certifications preferred, but not required:
      • CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
      • JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, or equivalent
    • Understanding of Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI technologies.
    • Ability to make, terminate, and label Cat5e/6 cables.
    • Experience with Cloud Solution Providers (Azure, O365, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
    • Experience implementing VPNs, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanners, and other enterprise network security solutions.
    • Experience implementing and configuring F5 Load Balancers.
    • Experience with managing multiple sites utilizing high-availability and disaster recover solutions.
    • Experience working in data center environments.
    • Strong understanding of two factor authentication systems
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
    • Detail oriented, creative thinking and innovative decision making
    • Good understanding and experience of OS administration in Windows and Linux environments.
    • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure and mission critical environment.
    • Strong desire to learn new technologies and other network platforms.
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
